) The Moon, being a plastic, receptive planet, is not unfavourably ) placed in this sign, and bestows when well aspected a pleasing personality, refined, sympathetic and artistic, well adapted to express the emotions by intellectual means; much however depends upon the positions of the Sun and Jupiter, the ruling planet. In appearance rarely perfectly formed, the lower portion of the body being not well shaped and somewhat clumsy in movement, walk indifferent, feet pointing far apart, reminding one of a fish’s tail. Features imperfectly formed, and mouth generally loose and ill-finished. Complexion soft, and in favourable instances of a peculiar opalescent or mother-of-pearl tint and lustre; eyes soft and mild. General nature soft and yielding, passive, more ready to suffer than to act, timid and given to forebodings. Very sympathetic, and in the higher types truly hospitable and compassionate. In the lower types of humanity this position represents a ‘derelict,’ one who consumes without producing. Pisces has sometimes been termed, not without eason, the ‘dust-bin of humanity”; in some cases the apparent failure means a real advance in soul growth, but just asin other departments of life there are some kinds of rubbish fit only for fuel, so we may at times find it in the ‘dust-bin.’
