体静也。谓如四柱中有八个干支，乃无形不动之定位，分布于十二宫，以填实地，戴五星。日月四馀以行原，守流年冲合焉。是则所谓体也。

用。动也。谓如十一曜，皆动物，行度，有迟留伏逆躔于十二宫分，随其躔处，以论所属，并大小二限定吉凶焉。此则所谓用也。
