Hl and ©. In good aspect is fortunate for any of the Uranian occupations, bringing good luck and success through them. It is also said to be fortunate for public appointments, and for matters connected with national or municipal public bodies, membership in those bodies, or offices held under them. It is good for societies, associations, and brotherhoods. It preserves the health in old age and lengthens the life. It gives benefit through uncommon methods of healing, such as

electricity, hypnotism, etc. It somewhat increases the positive side of the nature, self-reliance, independence of character. If mental signs are involved it may co-operate with any other indications in an intellectual direction, giving originality and a fertile mind.

In bad aspect, it tends to upset the health, according to the sign and house involved. There may be quite as much inclination for Uranian matters as with the good aspects, but the influence acts unfortunately and in an erratic, unbalanced fashion, much as with the evil aspects from Uranus to Mars. It endangers domestic (especially parental) harmony ; is bad for public position, popularity, the good will of the world generally ; and causes broken ties of all sorts in business, marriage, and friendship.

Hl and 2. In good aspect, gives many friends and acquaintances, increases the popularity, and sometimes gives an attractive and magnetic personality. The love of beauty is increased, the emotions are lifted up towards the intellect, and there may be ability for music, poetry, art, etc., or liking forany of these. It brings good fortune through friends and the public, and success through any occupation or pursuit signified by either planet. The love nature is increased, and it tends to promote happiness in marriage if other testimonies concur. It conduces to worldly prosperity in a general way, but mainly through such matters as are governed by the two planets.

In bad aspect, friends and acquaintances and especially the opposite sex cause trouble. Love matters are involved, marriage hindered, and sometimes scandal threatened. There is, in some cases, fickleness in love, broken promises and vows; or the native may suffer from these at the hands of the lover or marriage partner. It tends to bring trouble or loss through the occupations governed by either planet.

Hl and §. In good aspect, the mind is active, original, quick, fertile, inventive, and intuitive. Intellectual power is increased, and there may be success and good luck in following any of the Mercurial or Uranian occupations, studies, or activities. The mind does not always pursue the beaten track, but makes its own rules, follows its own laws, and obeys its own inner nature. Wit is increased, ingenuity promoted, and a tendency given to discoveries and inventions, intellectual or practical. It gives benefit from study, education, mental pursuits, and travelling. It often inclines strongly in some Uranian or semi-occult direction.

In bad aspect the mind may be just as active and the tendencies similiar to the above ; but there will be an irregular or erratic action, and all matters signified by position and rulership will be hindered and liable to result unfortunately.

HI and). In good aspect, generally inclines to one or more of the Uranian studies or occupations, and brings considerable success through them, whether followed as a private hobby or a public occupation. When the native does not take up such matters himself, he is generally brought into contact with those who do, and the result is for his interest or profit. If in a man’s horoscope, he may marry a wife having these tastes, or form friendships with such people. In a woman’s horoscope, she may benefit in health from uncommon methods of medical treatment, mesmeric or otherwise. It favours travelling.

In bad aspect and in a man’s horoscope, the influence is bad for marriage and the family ; troubles and irregularities of all sorts follow, from mere disappointment in love to separation or the formation of irregular attachments. In a woman’s horoscope, it is not good for health and if the Moon is in a hylegiacal position, it is bad in this respect with either sex. With females, it is bad for childbirth and the children and home life; and the emotions and feelings are apt to be erratic, fickle, changeable and irregular. There will be trouble, bad luck, or loss from any Uranian occupation that may be taken up. It will unite with any other influence in upsetting the nervous system and causing mental disturbances of various kinds, from mere nervousness up to more serious irregularities. It tends to upset the stomach and digestive system. Thereis trouble or danger from the water and any place or occupation of the Moon. Any aspect is likely to cause either travelling or changes of residence, good or bad, and perhaps also changes of occupation.

[The following refer to Saturn as ruler of the nativity or when the strongest planet by position, etc., as well as applying in a general sense to ALL who have the position at birth, since Saturn is the planet of Fate.)

h . Troubles, difficulties and obstacles in the first half of life. Sorrows in connection with finance, friends amongst relatives, honour or dishonour in connection with domestic affairs according to environment. Gain or loss through the death of uncles and aunts, according to house and aspects of Saturn. A jealous partner, or marriage to an elder; danger of poverty through marriage. Strange diseases of an internal nature, with suicidal tendencies if Mercury is afflicted at birth. Some religious experiences. Reserve and acquisitiveness at close of life, retirement with a competence if Jupiter is well placed: few journeys, and those few fraught with danger. Ambition for success, with the promise of prosperity through industry and perseverance.

h &. Economical, reserved, fond of solitude, prudent and diplomatic. Gain by industry and frugal methods. Sorrow and loss through relatives: brethren occult or mystically inclined: a few faithful friends in the domestic circle: anxiety through children and their affairs. Aunts and uncles abroad, from whom there are expectations with faint prospect of realisation. Death of marriage partner, or financial troubles through marriage. Liability to treachery, and secret opposition. Sickness through foreign travel. Gain through judicious investment. Peculiar domestic experiences: disinclination to travel: fondness for mysticism and secret societies.

h OU. Dual experiences; liable to self-deception; subtle and resourceful. Liable to false imprisonment or treachery through domestic attachments: deceitful friends: trouble through relatives, and dishonour through inferiors or common and public pursuits. Marriage to a foreigner, or an alliance made abroad. A strange death: liable to violence or to succumb through the jealousy of others. Unfortunate in legal affairs and fated to suffer through lawyers or solicitors. Sickness through profession or employment, and sorrow through children and their affairs. Q 24

An unfavourable end, hastened by the action of relatives or powerful opponents. Gain from two sources and by questionable means.

h 9. Peevish and somewhat discontented nature, repining and fretful disposition, always liable to domestic trouble and family discords. Anxiety, grief and disappointment through love-affairs, and sorrow through children. Unfortunate and unprofitable experience with inferiors, and sickness caused by impure magnetism. Honour or dishonour through marriage, according to position and aspects: a partner who rises through merit or industry. Death in a foreign land, or by drowning. Occult tendencies or sincerity in religious affairs. Opponents who affect the honour or reputation. Trouble in partnerships; griefs through the loss ofa relative : sickness of friends and acquaintances. Pleasure from psychic sources. Difficulties at the close of life. Gain through the occult arts.

h St. Disregardful of pleasure, enterprising, ambitious, determined: overcomes obstacles by perseverance and by will-power. Sorrow and secret enmity from inferiors; treachery of servants and hatred from them. Marriage to a friend, and the realisation of hopes and wishes through the partner. Honour through deaths and secret or governmental positions, gain from foreign affairs, and philosophic tendencies. Liable to death through overwork or heart-disease; and death of employers. Partnership with friends and acquaintances who turn to opponents; a few faithful and sincere friends amongst equals or superiors in birth. Psychic ailments and danger of infection, (crowds should be avoided). An enterprising and speculative tendency, with prospects of a fortune by speculation or gain through domestic affairs. A powerful intellect and good judgment, with faith in religion or the subjective world.
