凡命以纯粹不杂为上，偏枯混乱为下。且如甲日以辛为官，柱中只有酉辛字，是谓纯官；以庚为煞，柱中只有申庚字，是谓“纯煞” ；以正财为马，柱中只有丑未己字；以偏财为财，柱中只有辰戌戊字，谓之纯马纯财。值身旺，为大富贵格。建禄得格出身，便是富足，日下次之，时下又次之。建禄遇正官第一，正财次之，惟煞寿不永。若阳刃之月，纯煞第一财格，则防横事。假如癸卯、乙卯、己巳、乙丑，此命纯煞，乃能尽善，亦贵为极品。又如甲戌、丁卯、己巳、乙亥，官煞混杂，赖甲己合化为贵，因杂化力过，不得善终。

凡拱者二位虚夹一位，日拱，拱将者，如亥人得寅日，辰时，故虚夹有拱，林开云：坐实不如拱虚、明合不如暗合，乃此格也。拱门者，如年对处是，如林发运癸亥年、癸亥月、戊辰日、戊午时，有辰有午，虚拱巳上一位，曰拱门，加上戊舆癸合，两戊巳上又拱禄，两癸巳上又虚夹拱贵，与两戊合为真拱，凡拱者须爱两拱干同方为真拱，如戊辰见壬午等，乃假拱。凡拱处只爱一午、一辰，如一处重逢，乃偏也。凡拱格皆用此例。拱座者，乃时为帝座，对冲处逢曰拱座，如庚寅年、丁亥月、庚辰日、乙酉时，冲卯为木帝旺之门，乙禄在卯，与庚合，逢真拱为贵，拱贵者，如甲戊庚牛羊，逢有寅、有子、或有午，更有申曰拱贵也。拱印者，如六丙生人遇卯，并巳遁起拱得壬辰，辰乃水印也，凡拱印者，须不破，又看得财印、鬼印、官印、子印、乘印、脱印细细推之，凡拱印者，有七十二格，拱印、拱害、拱马、拱学堂、拱飞刃、拱劫、拱亡神、拱鬼、拱官贵、拱旺、拱破、拱孤辰、拱寡宿、拱巌廊、拱合、拱君臣合，凡拱须详杀神轻重分高低言祸福贵贱，青云得路者，皆贵命，乃日就时中带禄也。（沉芝源髓）

按木性枯焦，而无滴水解炎，即使男命，未便为佳，夏木伤官，必须佩印，木虽旺，无印亦属偏枯。观上两造自明。甲辰，辛未，甲子，辛未，此名两干不杂，专用丁火，虽有富贵，妻子难留，若作丁卯时，丁火出干，可生四子，但家贫耳，按两干不杂，局势虽清，无关取用，此造好在甲木临子，官印相生，润土生木，故能用丁，两未害子，妻贤难留，若丁卯时，丁火出干，卯刃劫财，故子多而家贫。

戊戌，壬戌，辛酉，甲午。去浊留清，主大富贵，行午运，零落而死。按甲木出干破戊护壬，故云去浊留清，惜时上午破酉，辛禄被伤，更行午运，宜其零勤落而死，盖财官食印六神，为以干加干之变化，会合刑冲，为以支之变化，皆神煞也，论干不论支，则不能尽其变。
