The eighth house is usually connected with legacies, deaths, coworkers and occult matters. Planets occupying this house usually incline to an interest in occult matters, but if untenanted the life gradually tends to run more or less on conventional lines, unless the ruler receives strong aspects.205. ‘$'.—Probability of money being left that is never recovered ; liability to be defrauded of inheritance. Death usually hastened by drugs. Liable to trances or a watery death.206. Hl.—Unexpected and sudden windfalls; a sudden end to existence ; danger of death through operations or among crowds.207. h.—Disappointments in connection with legacies; no financial gain through marriage or partnership. They are also. in the highest degree conversant with sacred mysteries, owing to the vespertine figuration of Venus.It is further to be observed of these last-named countries, that the inhabitants of the Cyclad Isles, and of the shores of Asia Minor and of Cyprus, are more particularly under the influence of Taurus and Venus, and are therefore voluptuous, - fond of elegance, and over-studious in their attention to the body. The people of Hellas, Achaia, and Crete, have a stronger familiarity with Virgo and Mercury, and are therefore learned and scientific, preferring the cultivation of the mind to the care of the body. The Sun, Hyleg in Libra, in sesquiquadrate to Saturn, from a humane sign, and Mars in mundane quartile to Saturn. In the mother's Horoscope, Mars and Herschel were angular, in conjunction in the sign Cancer ; the Moon being hyleg, was afflicted by a precise sesquiquadrate aspect of Saturn, and the Sun in the same malignant configuration to Mars and Herschel ! and in the infant's Horoscope, both Saturn and Mars were in conjunction in the House of Death, afflicting the principal angles and also the hyleg ! The time of the above births was correctly taken, and their Horoscopes have been already before the public, in a periodical publication, from whence we take them.

O P d $ The Sun parallel or conjunction Venus calls out the artistic side of the nature, making the person fond of music, art and poetry. It also strengthens the love-nature and if the configuration occurs in the seventh house it is a positive testimony of unalloyed marital bliss. In the second or eighth houses it leads to extravagance of the person or his mate, in Scorpio it is not good for the morals and in Pisces it leads to intemperance, but generally speaking, this aspect strengthens the constitution, increases the popularity and makes social intercourse smooth so that the person finds many friends and keeps them.As the orbit of Venus is so small she never forms the sextile, trine, square or opposition to the Sun.$ 6 P* 9 Mercury conjunction, parallel or sextile to Venus.
